Product Description
Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the gastronomic region of Gascony produces exuberant wines from their local grape – Gros Manseng.
The Gros Manseng variety thrives in the Gascony area where warm days and fresh nights give expressive aromas and a zesty freshness. Traditionally this variety has been used mainly for sweet wines, or in blends with other Gascony indigenous grape varietals. Winemaker Nicolas Duffour has worked closely with Gros Manseng and is very proud of this fine example with great expression and refined citrus flavours. In youth the Gros Manseng is fresh and easy, but 6 to 8 months after harvest a complex blend of aromas explodes. This versatility makes it a wonderful companion for the local duck liver pΓ’tΓ©, its acidity balancing the fattiness, while the aromatics and lively style is ideal for pairing with Asian food.
