Grenache Blanc, a relative newcomer to South Africa, is championed by Perdeberg Winery, a collective of sustainable dryland vineyards. The grape thrives in the dry, semi-arid conditions on gnarled bush vines producing small, intensely flavoured berries. Winemaker Albertus Louw recommends trying it with the local dishes such as Cape Malay Chicken Curry.
